Mining project

"Lastourville" project

Our Lastourville mining site is located in the central region of Gabon, near the Ogooué River, primarily engaged in open-pit manganese mining, with relatively shallow deposits and high grades.

At African Mining Development (AMD), we have established processing plants and laboratories, as well as basic facilities that meet industry standards to help us deliver high-quality products.

We are committed to ensuring the well-being of our employees by providing a comfortable living environment. In addition, we have acquired a fleet for mineral extraction and transportation to support our operations.



Some activities we conducted on-site:

Mining Development

  • Design and construct an open-pit mine, focusing on the extraction of shallow manganese deposits (3-5 meters deep).
  • Implement a dry and wet mining processing system to improve mining efficiency.
  • Recruit local skilled personnel, provide training, and build capacity.
  • Procurement and maintenance of mining, processing, and transportation equipment to ensure high operational standards.

Mineral Mining and Transportation

Purchase a fleet for the mining and transportation of manganese ore (including raw ore and processed ore).

We collaborate with local operators to connect the interior of Gabon to the seaport using rail transport, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.

Efficient logistics management ensures smooth transportation and export operations.

Exploration Project

The exploration work of African Mining Development Company (AMD) is led by a team of experienced geologists who possess extensive expertise in mineral exploration and ecosystem research. We utilize advanced geological surveying, remote sensing, and data modeling technologies to continuously push boundaries, dedicated to discovering new high-grade manganese deposits across Gabon.

“East” project

The Eastern Project was acquired in 2022 and is located near Francs-Ville, an area known for its high-quality manganese ore reserves. The geological structure of the region provides ideal conditions for the discovery of high-quality manganese ore blocks.
AMD's exploration team has conducted multiple geological surveys and drilling activities, uncovering promising mineral deposits. The geological conditions in the area indicate significant mineralization zones at shallow depths, making it an extremely attractive target for open-pit mining.
In these projects, we have closely collaborated with local operators and communities to establish strong partnerships. As we complete feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments, AMD is preparing to enter the mining phase.

“Sud” project

The "Sud" project is located in a region of Gabon that has a low level of exploration, facing unique challenges while also holding exciting opportunities. Due to the rugged terrain and limited infrastructure, this area has not yet been developed by large mining companies. However, preliminary geological surveys indicate that there are high-quality manganese deposits here.

Through ongoing exploration efforts, we aim to discover more reserves and contribute to the further development of Gabon's mining industry, thereby opening up new areas of the country.
